Pavers turning white

Pavers turning white?

Do you have any idea why your pavers or your neighbor’s pavers are turning white?  Here is a neighbor to a client of ours that we saw the other day.

white paver sealer

This is part of a $4 million estate.  All of their almost 10,000 sq feet of pavers were ruined by another company and their inferior sealer and their inexperience in the industry.

Very simply the sealer that was applied has failed.  Why did it fail?  It was either inferior product, improperly applied, or the surface was insufficiently prepared.

There is much more to sealing pavers successfully than appears on the surface.  We often get the reaction by potential clients to the price that we charge because they are basing this on prior research done at the big box stores on the “cost” of paver sealers.  It is often those sealers that were priced out and researched that are causing the “white” in the pavers.  So, it is an unfair comparison to compare something that doesn’t work or even causes additional damage to something that works very well and adds years of protection to your surfaces.

We, even as a business, have had to learn the hard way often to pay a professional to do some things.  As many ruined driveways and beautiful patios that I have seen over the years, this is an area that for a few extra dollars should be left to a professional sealing company like SurfaceSolve.
